You can get  help making a submission by:

Free counselling and advocate services

You may want support in sharing story with the Royal Commission. The Australian Government is funding free and independent counselling and advocacy support for people engaging with or affected by the Disability Royal Commission.

There's a National Counselling and Referral Service available to help you. Call 1800 421 468 or (02) 6146 1468.

You can also use the map on Department of Social Service website to find disability support services in your local area such as counselling support and advocacy services.

Getting financial help to appear before the Royal Commission

The Legal Financial Assistance Scheme can help with the cost of lawyers when you tell your story to the Royal Commission.

Need extra help?

You can use the National Relay Service if you are deaf, hard of hearing and/or have a speech impairment.

  • call Your Story Disability Legal Support on 1800 77 1800 and ask for an interpreter. The client information officer will make the arrangements, or
