Amelia, Northern Territory lawyer

Amelia

I grew up in Sydney and studied Arts (International Relations)/Law at the Australian National University in Canberra. Since university, I have worked in both government and non-government legal roles.

In 2017, I moved to Darwin and worked as a civil lawyer at the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA). At NAAJA, I was lucky enough to travel monthly to the remote communities in the East Arnhem region. Most recently, I worked in a specialised litigation team in the family law and care and protection division of Legal Aid NSW.

I joined Your Story Disability Legal Support in July 2021 and feel incredibly privileged to be given the opportunity to work with and support people across Australia as they share their stories with the Royal Commission.
