Are you a member of the LGBTIQA+ disability community, or a supporter?
Come along to find out how you can access free support to share your stories and ideas for change with the Disability Royal Commission before submissions close at the end of the year.
You will hear from guest speaker Cody Skinner, a Queensland disability advocate and a First Nations gay man living with disability.
Cody has a passion for change in the community and improving people's quality of life. He shared his story and recommendations in a written submission to the Disability Royal Commission.
Cody also appeared as a witness at public hearing 9, which was about pathways and barriers to open employment for people with disability and took place in Brisbane in December 2020.
You will also hear from the Disability Royal Commission support services in Queensland.
